Now while content, quests, levels, and all that will be available, here is the list of ‘limits’ that will exist on free accounts; free accounts will continue to have the trading and auction house limits that trial accounts currently have, they’ll have only a single character slot, a limited number of time each day in which they can craft, and a limit to the maximum chips they can hold (though this limit disappears if you make any purchase; so if, heaven forbid, you only make a single purchase, there is no subsequent chip limit). Free accounts will be able to do every quest, visit every sector and instance, have no limits on what items they can craft or gear they can use, and most importantly, their accounts won’t be locked after 30 days as is the case today. They won’t be able to send items through the mail (take that, gold farmers!) but they will be able to receive items, so you can send stuff to your buddies if they have free accounts. A free account is the perfect way to get in and experience the game for someone who casually wants to check it out, do a few quests, or catch up with old friends.

The team also revealed the subscription levels:

S Scavenger:SThese are the completely free players who are new to the game or who are returning players. Scavengers have a limited number of hours per day to craft items, but can experience the game otherwise in its entirety.
S Survivalists:SThis is considered the "entry level" premium subscription. This level is $9.99 per month and removes any restrictions from the Scavenger level.
S Wastelander:SFor $14.99, players receive a 'dramatic' increase in "harvesting and crafting speed, as well as the rates of gain of EXP, AP, Death Toll, and faction. Players also receive a 5% discount in the item store and 300 Reward Points per month.
S Commander:SNot priced, this level is the highest level of subscription and includes "the Commander aura, a stackable buff that increases salvaging speed, EXP, Random AP, Death Toll, and Faction gain rates for all players in the Commander's group."

Gear Slot Reduction

We have reduced the amount of gear slots necessary to fully equip your character. The amount of resistances are the same, but gloves, lower and upper arm armor and thigh pieces will now function like boots - equipping one will equip the set. While this does limit some of the customizability, we will be addressing that through more custom clothing options rather than through forcing players to hunt out available matching sets.

Global Territory Control has arrived! The battle for Faction dominance that began in The District has now spread to the rest of the wasteland. Those belonging to the Faction that controls the most territory will earn a nice skill boost to Melee, Pistol, Rifle, Power, and Precision. You will also earn more Death Toll, Experience, Faction, and Random AP and enjoy a crafting speed bonus. Show the other clones who’s boss and take control for your Faction!
