Stiže nam izgleda novi post-apoc RPG i daje poprilično jako na nekakav spoj Fallouta i Metroa.

Scheduled for launch sometime in 2013 for PC, Nuclear Union is a role-playing game with an open progression structure. You’ll have a defined end goal, but the way you accomplish it is up to you, and you’ll be able to go back and freely explore any discovered territory. Gameplay be presented from a third-person perspective and though battles will take place in real-time, you do have the ability to pause the action to better line up your aim. You’ll also be able to recruit certain characters encountered on your adventures and travel with one at a time, and can issue basic commands to them during combat.

RPS: Can you tell us a bit about why you decided to make Nuclear Union? What decisions led to it? Why make an RPG instead of an RTS?

Romanova: Having released Men of War and getting to know that 1C was going to release several add-ons developed by their internal studios, we decided to take a break from the WWII topic. At first we were inclined to go back the Soldiers: Heroes WWII style – a small group, sabotage operations, but with more attention to the tactics. Hence we got a tactical simulation of a group, that we created using Gem2. The engine kept on evolving, we got new perspectives and possibilities, and we started thinking of introducing RPG elements into the game. Later on our programmers considerably increased the graphics level, and we became all hyped to make a shooter (latest Call of Duty was just released around that time, and the majority of our team were playing this one a lot). But the will to make a tactical RPG overcame.

Čak i gameplaya malo. Izgleda nezgrapno, ali nisam ni očekivao AAA kvalitetu.

Dizajn okoline i monstera je super.

Trčanje i 3rd person pogled i način kako puca mi nije baš neš.

Nuclear Union is impressive right out of the gate. However, I do have major concerns about the localization. I know Denis Maltsev and company are trying to tell a particular story from the former Soviet point of view, but it still needs to be accessible and engaging to non history buffs in the west in order to be successful here. A great translation (such as the kind Carpe Fulgur provides for Easy Game Station titles like Recettear) along with some solid voice acting will go a long way here. In any case, I’m really looking forward to seeing the finished product in Q2 2014, and you should be as well.
