Da, ali istovremeno je i baziran na (ne)slavnom 4E-u.
Premda bi se dalo raspravljati da je 4E takav kakav je baš zato da bi se pretvorio u MMO, ali ajde.

The D&D system also plays heavily into the user-interface and combat of Neverwinter. Right and left mouse buttons are linked to your "At-Will" powers. Like D&D, these are your basic attacks, making up the backbone of your character's repertoire. You don't auto-attack in Neverwinter, which is part of Cryptic's attempt to make combat feel more dynamic -- like it's more focused on skill.

MMORPG: There are 60 levels, equaling the 20 levels in normal D&D campaigns. How will players choose and customize their character builds while leveling say, a Trickster Rogue?

Nerd rant aside; the 60 levels that we will have at launch do represent the characters rise through the Paragon tier. Which means at a certain point in their career, players will choose a Paragon Path which will further specialize their character.

Dugo sam čekao ovakvu igru! Imam velika očekivanja, nadam se da neće podbacit. I mnogo sam sretan jer sam upao na " closed beta" vikende 2 i 3 :fof: . Drugi pocinje 8-10 ozujka a treći od 22-24. Pa mogu postati utiske sa bete ako je netko zainteresiran :|

Ok, a smije se govoriti o utiscima sa bete, jedino alpha testeri ne smiju nista otkrivat jer oni imaju non stop pristup, a beta testeri samo za najavljene vikende

Pozdrav, kao sto sam obecao evo par utisaka sa bete. Prvo, iako sam imao velika očekivanja moram reci da igra nije razočarala, mada ima dosta stvari za ispravit. I za ovaj vikend imali smo na raspolaganju 7 rasa i 4 klase(cleric, wizard, rogue,fighter) za igrat i level cap je bio dignut do 40 lvl.
Prva stvar sto je meni zasmetala je nedovoljan character customization, nije lose ali moglo bi biti bolje. Zatim animacije nekih likova su čudne, npr..wizard kada stoji ima neki kung fu stav sa ispruženom šakom stvarno neprirodno i smjesno, ali animatori su već rekli da rade na tome i da ce promjenit animacije likova.
Zatim, mi je zasmetalo sto neke klase kao wizard kad koriste spellove zakuju ih za zemlju dok ne dovrše napad, ali kasnje je imalo savršenog smisla jer inače bi samo hodali ukrug oko neprijatelja i bombardirali, i bilo bi prelagano.

Najveća stvar koja me je zabrinula je taj zen market, jer izgledalo je da će stvari biti preskupe kao naprimjer neki mountovi su bili 35$, al developeri su rekli kao da je to samo onako stavljeno za ovaj beta vikend da se isproba sustav i da to nisu stvarne cjene, ali vidjet cemo kad izađe.
Moram reći da Neverwinter izgleda prelijepo, grad i lokacije su zaista odlične, questovi su dobri i zanimljivi, i ni jednom mi nije bilo dosadno igrajući.
Sve u svemu mene je igra "Uvukla" i imao sam super vrijeme igrajući! Jest da je bilo dosta stvari koje trebaju popravku ali ovo je samo beta i nedovršena igra, vidjet ćemo kako će se stvari odvijat, nadam se na bolje!

Igrao sam ranije malo. Sa borbenoga stajališta je više-manje nezgrapniji GW2, ali najviše mi smeta što je tu ostalo jako malo D&D-a tako da igra bude što pristupačnija. U biti je klasični Cryptic MMO sa D&D skinom preko toga umjesto nešto tipa napredniji DDO. Nije loše, ali ne vidim se baš da ga igram na duže staze.

Osobno smatram da ima nekoliko stvari koje su totalno usrali. Kao što si i sam rekao, nije ostalo baš puno od pravog d&d-a, ali opet se nisu previše ni odmakli od koncepta (kad će više ljudi jebeno skužit da je jebeni holy trinity odvratan model), tako da je na kraju ispalo nekakvo polovično, nedefinirano. No,ajd, s tim mogu živjeti.

Ono što me još više smeta je to što je igra koncipirana kao linearni polu-hub sustav. Nije ni u potpunosti hub, pošto imamo ovo nešto malo open worlda, no svejedno se vraćaš stalno nazad na isto mjesto. Za tradicionalne mmo-ove, to i nije toliki problem, no u post-gw2 eri, za igru koja bi trebala vjerno dočarati svijet Faeruna i koja se debelo ugledava na Salvatoreova djela, ovakav koncept je naprosto užasan. Mali komadić ogromnog svijeta, s nimalo dinamičnosti, umjesto da bude nešto otvoreno, s putovanjima i razgledavanjem svijeta, da ideš gdje, kako i kada hoćeš.
To je,pretpostavljam, samo dio one druge stvari koja mi smeta, a to je Crypticovo recikliranje monetarnih/quest/itd. modela. Samo po sebi, nije toliko loše. No kad se to usporedi sa Star Trek Online-om, za kojeg svi znamo kako je prošao... Pa jel nisu mogli jebeno nešto drugo smisliti, barem probati napraviti neku vlastitu igru, a ne još jedan skoro bezlični mmo.

Borbeni sustav mi je super, no daleko od toga da je revolucionaran. I dalje ne znam zašto mmo developeri zaziru od ovakvih, akcijski orijentiranih modela. No, to im je jedan plus.
A što se mene tiče, jedina stvar po kojoj NO odskače od ostatka tržišta je Foundry.

tipicni criptyc/PW F2P mmo,zarazan,dinamican...i skup a moze biti stvarno f2p ako imate slobodnog vremena na bacanje za poludnevni grind iz dana u dan.

Sto se tice Foundry-ja ,to je izmisljotina nekreativnih devsa,a 99% onog sto su igraci napravili je smece , nema razloga da bude drugacije nego sto je sa STO.Ionako Neverwinter je STO u svijetu D&D,iako bas to i nije kao sto STO nema bas mnogo veze sa Star Trek univerzumom osim sa imenima.

Najbolje se kloniti svega sto je u vezi criptyc/PW,navucete se ,potrositi $$$$ i onda se zapitate WTF ja to radim.

Okej, nakon tjedan dana utrošenog vremena, sad mogu sa vrlo visokom sigurnošću ustvrditi: igra je promašaj.
Nije stvar ni to što je u beti, nema te količine poliranja koja može kompletne, loše sustave popraviti. Stvari koje su sad u igri takve će i ostati, uz povremeno namještanje brojeva (u najboljem slučaju).

tl;dr verzija, izrazita nemaštovitost na svim područjima, jeftina rješenja za mnoge ingame mehanizme, loši koncepti klasa, balansa i ekonomskog modela (koji su, još gore, reciklirani od prije. Ozbiljno, jel su toliko jebeno retardirani da već propali, iritantni i idotski model ponovno iskoriste?) , ubitačna linearnost, etc.
Jednostavno ne mogu naglasiti dovoljno kolika je nemaštovitost i lijenost developera prisutna i očigledna u svim aspektima igre.
Neverwinter online je u odnosu na druge mmo-ove na tržištu u zaostatku godinama. I to ne 2 ili 3. Prije 6 ili 7. Prisutne su određene sitnice, mehanizmi i koncepti koji su odavno već prožvakani i ispljunuti. Glavno da je market na mjestu i da izvlači masne pare. Minimalno truda je uloženo u razvoj ove igre, što nakon svog ovog silnog hype-a ostavlja samo još veće razočaranje.

Taj regen mi je skroz čudan, ko' da igram neki TPS pa nakon poklanih 78 mobova trčim do checkpointa da se zahilam i sejvam :S

Nisam nešto upoznat s 4th Edition, ali osim imena gradova za sad mi igra nema nimalo D&D identiteta...

E,pa to. Sad zamisli da su imena mjesta, ljudi i događaja izmišljeni od strane developera, a ne preuzeti. Samo još jedan u nizu mmo-ova bez nekog posebnog identiteta.

Our goal is to have another class and more Paragon Paths for all classes by the end of the year. I played the new class myself in an internal playtest last week, and it’s amazing. The new class — which, like the rest of the module's content will be free-of-charge — is the Hunter Ranger, a hybrid ranged and melee damage-dealing attacker geared more towards the game's expert players. Playing the Hunter Ranger requires a lot of deft input by the player, but those who excel at the class' fast-paced abilities will find themselves with a hero far more mobile than the game's current five archetypes.

The challenge for Cryptic was building a class that didn't just feel like a ranged version of the Trickster Rogue, one of the five launch classes. The solution was found in the Hunter Ranger's hybrid nature; by pressing Tab, players can swap between their hero's long bow and dual blades. Each of their At-Will and Encounter powers have two implementations, based on which weapon the Hunter has equipped — moreover, those twin powers are on different cooldowns. In order to be effective, the Hunter has to swap between the two styles constantly in battle, darting in and out of the fray as they pick off their foes.

Igra netko? Baš skidam.

Probao Rift - prebljuzgavo je kad je masa toga na ekranu, bljuzgavije od wow-a, odustao jer mi nema smisla da od efeketa i loše obojane okoline i mobova u njima ni ne vidim lika ako je melee.

I djeluje nekako 'sporo', kontrole nisu dovoljno osjetljive, ko da je stalno lag a nije.

Probao TERU, ali joj koja gluparija, prvo mi se učinila ok, onda skužim da nije bitno s kojom klasom igraš, za ubit jednog normalnog monstera treba previše vremena, dizajn okoline je baš nje, jedino mi je onaj grad fora. Probao s lancerom, warriorom i archerom, pa mi se archer učinio da najbrže kolje, ali i on 'uspori' kasnije iako su mi gear i skillovi bili up to date.

Sad idem Neverwinter probati, ako niš drugo izgleda ljepše od obje igre, i borba se čini ugodnija, u Teri isto k ne vidiš od loše iskombinirane kamere, palete boja, onih brojeva, cursora, i šugavog dizajna neprijatelja.
