BlizzCon VIPs Donate to Worthy Cause
What could be better than an evening of fine dining and pleasant conversation in support of a worthy cause? On Thursday, 21 October, Blizzard hosted a special dinner to benefit the Children’s Hospital of Orange County Children's Foundation. Guests were able to mingle with game developers, artists, executives, community managers, and other Blizzard Entertainment representatives. We’re happy to announce that on Friday, 7 January, thanks to the generosity of our attending VIPs, we were able to present a cheque to the CHOC Children’s Foundation totaling $75,000. We extend our thanks to the BlizzCon VIP attendees for their philanthropy and for making it such a wonderful evening.

The Swords and Shields ceremony is an important Blizzard tradition that began fifteen years ago in 1996. With this ceremony, we recognize the years of dedication and commitment of those who help Blizzard create the most epic entertainment experiences...ever. Several times a year, Blizzard employees around the world gather to celebrate the five-, ten-, and fifteen-year milestones of their friends and colleagues with a ceremony where each recipient is honored with their service award. Five years of service are awarded a sword; ten year veterans receive a shield; fifteen years of service is recognized with a special ring; and this year marks the first time Blizzard employees will celebrate twenty years of service.
The type of sword given to five-year recipients is different each year, but the shield and ring designs have remained largely unchanged. We now present a gallery of the swords and shields that have been handed out over the years in recognition of the hard work, great resolve, and unwavering dedication that has helped make Blizzard the company you know today.

Blizzard is set to release two games in 2012.SWhile Activision didn’t specify any titles, one of these games is almost certainly Diablo III, and we’d guess that the other is World of Warcaft’s expansion Mists of Pandaria. This would be bad news for Starcraft and DOTA fans, but Blizzard has always played by their own rules.

Pomalo zabrinjavajuće, ali otkud on zna? Možda će baš WOW biti još pauziran. Ili bi mogli na led stavit "onoga o kome se ne govori". :P
Mislim da ipak on mora izaći ove godine, što je previše, previše je. :evil:

Opet natezanja oko imena. Daj Blizz ohladi malo,Blizz ima Blizzard Dotu, a Valve ima Dota 2 imate različita imeni, nije čisti copy/paste.
Kad me neko pita šta igraš - "Igram DOTU" pa nek si oni misle koju.... :D
(Gadno je to kad je Dota postala strašno popularna, naravno da odmah želiš imati to ime za sebe, pošto ljudi po tome odmah prepoznaju o kojoj se igri radi.)

Ali sa druge strane, Blizz ima papire crno na bijelom....

In 2008, Feak and Mescon each assigned all of their rights in and to the DotA Mods and the DotA-Allstars Website to “DotA-Allstars, LLC.” In 2010, DotA-Allstars, LLC was purchased by Riot Games, Inc. In 2011, Riot transferred DotA-Allstars, LLC to Blizzard. Accordingly, Blizzard now possesses all rights that DotA-Allstars LLC may have had in connection with the DotA Mods and the DotA-Allstars website, including any trademarks or other goodwill DotA-Allstars LLC may have had in the DOTA Marks.”

In short, Blizzard possesses the rights to DotA, and has a stronger priority to the DOTA trademark than Valve.
