The WWII military flying sim series IL-2 Sturmovik will be getting a new entry later this year. Publishers 1C Company and Ubisoft announced today that it would release IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover in March. The game from developer Maddox Games will take place during the Battle of Britain aerial battles over the UK in 1940.

The game will feature over a dozen flyable aircraft from the UK, German and Italian armies. The single player campaign will feature the player taking on the Germans as part of the British Air Force battling it out over London and other parts of Britain, France and Belgium. The game will also feature multiplayer with support for up to a whopping 128 players. Look for graphical support for DirectX 10 and DirectX 11 features.

In addition to the regular game there will also be a Collector's Version that will feature a 150 page ring binder with pilot instructions, a replica of the pilot's notes on the Spitfire I Aeroplane and a cloth pilot escape map. You can check out a trailer for the game after the jump:

JKoš mi semo ovo fali :D imam 1946 već mejsec dana još nisam isprobao sve mogućnosti i avione koliko sadržaja igra ima.

I prvi dio je bio odličan .Na žalost nisam se puno družio sa njim jer je punokrvna simulacija koja je tražila punu pozornost i puno slobodnog vremena .Nastavak izgleda jako dobro .

jedva cekam, IL2 1946 igram jako cesto preko hyper lobby-a, samo se nadam da nece pojednostavnit igru

ja bi bio zadovoljan i da samo poboljsaju grafiku, sve ostalo mogu ostavit, premda prvi dio ima prilicno dobru grafiku cak i danas

It will also come with customizable difficulty – dozens of realism options will allow newcomers to the franchise to reduce the difficulty and focus on the fun while learning the ropes of being a pilot.

- New aircraft: Incredibly detailed true-to-life modeling of aircraft systems based on thousands of hours of dedicated research. Every single aircraft component can be damaged for realistic and immensely satisfying results.

- Flyable aircraft – Over a dozen famous and highly detailed English, German and Italian aircraft available, with all crew positions open to players. All flyable aircraft have been painstakingly researched, resulting in incredibly accurate cockpit interiors.

- Non-flyable aircraft –13 additional AI-controlled aircraft are also available, created with the same attention to historical accuracy, for an even more varied and immersive combat environment.
